DIAMOND WEAPON
This is the only Weapon you'll have to defeat to go further in the game.
You'll meet it after you accompany Bugenhagen to see the Holy Materia. The fiend will come out of the water and will head towards Midgar. Before you fight it, you'll have to wait for it to arrive on the ground, then get ready to the fight.

Strategy:
Unless you are pretty weak, this Weapon will be a piece of cake. The only thing to worry about is that physical attack are useless against it (limit breaks too), so equip Ultima and thunder spell (pummel it with Bolt3). If you want to get over with this quickly, summon the Knights of the Round or other powerful summons but, actually, that's not necessary. In fact, this Weapon has got only 3 attacks: a laser beam that will harm you for about 700 HP and a phisical attack that will damage a character for about 1000 HP... the only thing to worry about is the Diamond Flash. When the monster will be in danger, it will open its chest and start a countdown for 3 turns. At the end of it, it will cast a powerful laser beam that will harm the whole party for 1500 - 3000 HP. Nothing to worry about, but be careful if you are low on HP. Remember that it will take 3 turns for the Weapon to charge the attack so you won't have any problem to heal before it. But it won't be you to completely defeat the Diamond Weapon. In fact, your task is to just keep it busy until the Junon cannon (that's been moved to Midgar) is loaded. When the cannon is ready will be shot a powerful laser beam that will cut through the Weapon, that obstructs its true purpose: destroy the barrier around the Northen Crater.

ULTIMATE WEAPON
This weapon is sure a piece of cake. You have to fight it in Mideel, before Cloud clears his mind, afterwards it will run away. After you defeat the Diamond Weapon you can find it floating in the air below the lake near Junon. To fight it you just have to head towards it with the Highwind. Once you will harm it for a few HP, it will run away. You'll find it wandering around the world map. After a few fights with respective getaways the Ultimate Weapon will stop below Cosmo Canyon. This will be the last fight.

Strategy:
Actually, there's no strategy for this fiend, do whatever you want, you will hurt it for good. In spite of its name, this is the weakest Weapon in the whole game. Just a couple of things: if you don't want to waste your time looking around for it, the first time you fight it (not in Mideel) summon the Knights of the Round. In fact, differently from what most people may think, the Weapon will not reach Cosmo Canyon after a determined number of fights, but after you damage it in the various fights. Then summon the Knights of the Round and head to Cosmo Canyon. Here is where you'll definitely annihilate the Ultimate Weapon. Since you damaged it for good with the Knights of the Round, a few hits will be enough to defeat the enemy. Be careful, though, to start this fight with a high amount of HP and try to keep them high. In fact, although the Ultimate Weapon is easy to beat, soon before it dies will cast a frightening attack, Shadow Flare, that will harm a member of your party for 8000 or more HP. This won't change the battle result (since only one character is damaged) but the "victim" of the attack will lose the huge amount of EXP and AP you will earn once your enemy is defeated.

EMERALD WEAPON
This is an extremely powerful Weapon and, if you aren't well equipped you'll never manage to defeat it. As soon as you get the submarine, you'll be able to go underwater near Junon and fight this monster. The Emerald Weapon consists of 3 parts: the body and the emerdald eyes, the eyes on its arms. Here are some strategies to defeat this monster. But this aren't the only ones! Excluding some things you must have, you can let your fantasy fly free.
